Takeover Tuesday is a weekly motivational program for you, the readers. Every Tuesday, you will be given simple tasks to be completed throughout the course of the week in order to inch closer to meeting your true potential by visualizing your ideal self, shaking hands with them, and then ruthlessly becoming that person.

These tasks are simple in order to cultivate SUCCESS and for you to get used to what success feels like so you can apply it in more places in your everyday life.

Last week we had quite the opportunity to taste victory. How did you do? My shoes are so shiny that I when I see myself reflected in them, I see a potential billionaire! Exciting! Tasting that small amount of success motivated me to want more!

This week’s challenges:

1. Stop and smell the roses

I mean this! Sometimes phrases can become so commonplace, that you forget to analyze what they literally mean. In this case, I want you to go to a store, a florist, or even a personal garden and find a rose. Then smell it. Take this moment to relax and take in your surroundings. Sometimes we can become so caught up in our breakneck business lifestyles, that we forget why we work as hard as we do. You’ve earned your place in this beautiful world we live in, so enjoy it for a minute.

2. Buy yourself a drawing compass

Nothing is nicer in the world than seeing perfect circles for pie charts in a business presentation. And the computer is very good at drawing these perfect circles automatically. But what happens when you want to do a quick drawing for someone in a meeting to quickly highlight an important talking point? You could try drawing the pie chart like normal and no one would fault you for it, certainly. But what if you had a drawing compass on hand? You would impress your business colleagues instantly by showing them that you’re prepared for anything and everything!

3. Carry around a briefcase full of money

I often stress the importance of being able to see what your potential self could be. Here’s a quick tip on how to see it a little more clearly. We’ve all see in movies and television shows when someone takes out a briefcase and opens it to find it row-to-row stacked with money. Usually, the amount is a million dollars, but I’m going to tell you how to achieve the same effect for less than $5000. First, go to your bank and take out $3000 in one-dollar bills and $1200 in 100-dollar bills. Then get yourself a briefcase or use one you already have. Organize your $1’s into 12 stacks of 250. Arrange them next to each other in the briefcase so they fit nicely. Then, and here’s the trick, put a $100 on top of each stack. And there you have it, you now have a briefcase worthy of a business-man looking to make an off-the-books deal. Live in this feeling for the week. The secret trick is to remember to keep the big bills on the top!

Now get to work, friends!
